I can't decide if these would look good!?! OPinIOns?
Ok I know everyone loves to share their opinions and thoughts. So.. Tell me what u guys think here. I found these tires and wheels for sale for $250 crazy damn cheap. The ones I have are shot. I wanted to paint mine black and find a moonie hubcap and some G78-16 whites. But I saw these.. Would they look good??????

Of course I would cut down the hub caps to make them shorter. TIRE/WHEEL DATA Enkie S 18x9.5 6x5.5 offset unknown tires are 225/60R18 with 70% tread

I haven't pulled the trigger on them yet. And I totally posted this thread in the wrong spot. How do I move it?

Re: I can't decide if these would look good!?! OPinIOns?
I'd just worry about the backset.
My tires are 28.5" on a 9 3/4" wide wheel with 4.5" backset on the original drum brake setup. It's rubbing in the front you have to worry about. The wheels you interested in would look good, just that in a few years they'd be out of style. Steelies and original caps are forever.

I agree. I love the steelies and white wall look the best but finding the tires are a pain. I missed a set of new Coker G78-15'swith the 2 1/2" WW for $200 for the set by just a few minutes the other day...

Re: I can't decide if these would look good!?! OPinIOns?
While I am a fan of steelies, I think that the right 5-spokes can look great on a truck. I do think that the "flat-spoked" wheels don't look right on older vehicles. While I personally think the "arched/rounded-spoked" wheels look great on on older vehicles, they don't look right on newer vehicles. I think for me, this is all due to the lines and blended contours present on older vehicles and the sharp lines on late-model cars and trucks.
I think those wheels would look good on a square-body but not so much on a pre-'73. But that's just like...my opinion man. EDIT: just notices they are 6-spoke. I am definitely out now...

Re: I can't decide if these would look good!?! OPinIOns?
In the early sixties there were also 16" wheels and 17.5". Nowadays 16" tires are easier to find and 17.5, there's just bias plys. I have original 16" that I widened to accommodate the low profile tire of the day off a 86 Corvette, 255-55VR16.
For my 4x4 I got hold of some 17.5" wheels and changed the ring out to 17". Again more tire choice. But then I knew I was going for original caps.
