Vinyl paint

I just bought an old VW. It came with new in the box door panels. But they are tan. I'm going with black interior. I hate to buy another set when I have new ones but the tan isn't going to work.

Recommendations? What's a good vinyl paint or dye? I figure that the black should cover the tan easily but I don't want it to look uneven or peel.

Re: Vinyl paint

I use SEM products, and "Landau Black" is a nice color for what you are planning.

Make sure you use the recommended vinyl prep, the prep is what makes all the difference.

Color bond LVP refinisher , Bar none nothing else compares . it will not peel or crack i used it to color match part of my sons BMW interior door panel and center consul over a year ago and it not only has held up it matches perfectly . they do color matching ,So they might even carry a VW black .

X2, I've used a ton of SEM over the years and never had any issues. It holds up very well, sticks well, and looks great.

Re: Vinyl paint

x3 for SEM. My experience with Color Bond vinyl dyes is that colors can vary from can to can.
