Neat website. 67 72 gm trucks present well, but it would seem its not the latest data, I seem to recall a 67 or 8 topping 400k before commissions last Scottsdale auction.
The price on vintage sure went WAY up with the new way of life introduced especially with covid ecomoney. Sure lots of people with deep pockets in the world web market, no shortage of people, sustainable? Rhetorical, back on track, just enter your search. Just looking at their graph from 2020 through 2024 for 67-72... The average price (not fully on just sold trucks but includes highest bid and asking price for for sale trucks) ranges from 25k in 2020 to 37k in 2024. I would like to see that using only known sold trucks, still that's pretty good to see. I took a very small sample of the trucks they are using for this analysis (two pages of trucks found below the graph tool, about 25 trucks) and found them all to be listed-for-sale or sold from a classic dealership with seemingly high prices, most of which from a single dealer, streetside classics. Took another small sample of sold-only trucks (21 trucks) used in the calculations and found them to be exclusively auction sales: Mecum, BJ and BAT. Not real sure what all that means but it's worth taking into consideration regarding market values goes. I did browse some of my other vehicle interests and they also appeared to follow the same pattern of dealership and auction listings and sales only, which for vehicles that arent 50 years old, seems more appropriate as dealers and auctions will price them more in line with the market because the market is much larger and more mainstream (think 2001 to 2006 BMW M3 manual gearbox for example)...I think they refer to that as a classic too! -Kevin

Yeah, you have to wonder what makes up the numbers. I assumed selling prices, maybe not. I read where someone said kr500 and hemi challenger and such were worth more than yenko camaros. Real funny....https://www.classic.com/m/chevrolet/.../yenko-camaro/

Right. It was a thought of mine too…just didn’t want to say it seemed like a shill for the auctioneers to keep the momentum going. We have had numerous discussions on this board on how these auctions have lead many an owner to jack the price of his/her example. I have noticed the rise in pricing in my ongoing interest in listings and prices, especially amongst the classic car dealers. Not taking away from OP here, it is a very informative data set presented in depth. I appreciate being exposed to it. -Kevin
