another what do ya think it will run post

Well Its been a LONG haul on this project. At first I was going to just throw a little motor at my long bed c20 and call it good. Then one thing led to another and and now its shortened, lowered 4in frame has been boxed all the factory cross members are gone and replaced with 2"od mild steel round tube, and thats just a start. I've been workin on tis thing for about 3 years and am prob within a year of being able to drive it again, so I've gotta ask what do you think it would run. Here's the specs

lq4 with the gm "hot cam"
factory injection (execpt injectors)
88mm garret turbo
not exactly sure on hp but it should be somehwere around 575-600 athe the crank
engines set back 4" from factory location

turbo 400 with brake and manual valve body
8" tci converter with 3500 rpm stall

9" with 3.54 gears and detroit locker

fatman front axle with qa-1 ajustable coil overs
glass hood and no heater or ac

4in drop monos in back with qa-1 ajustable shocks
and caltracks mt street ets 275/50-15
not 100% on the weight bias but it should weight about 3200-3300lbs without me in it
so figure 3500lbs with me in it and assuming it actually hooks

Best I can guess is your gonna need a roll bar ;-)
If it runs to it's potential right out of the box, you just might be the FIRST to do that. Get some passes and you'll have a starting point. Traction and boost is always a balancing game. Short times are going to be key IMO

Um....you are going to make more than 575-600 at the WHEELS with that setup, not the crank! 6.0L and 88mm turbo?? If you don't make 700 at the wheels, you're not trying.

I am going to say with a good amount of confidence that your rig will run well into the 10s. I'm gonna throw out 10.6X as a SWAG.

Keep us updated! Pics?

Once you get it all dialed in, mid to high 10's should be about right. I'm interested in seeing some pics of all that frame fabrication.

Man, I saw a 67 C-10 shortbed run 11.0 @ 119 on a MPT70 on a 5.3L last weekend...at 10 psi. Turbo 400, decent converter, leaving off the footbrake and 2-step.

More cubes...more turbo....that thing is gonna haul.

Re: another what do ya think it will run post

I'le see if I can find the pics of the frame and post them. I dont have a camera so I had to use my friends so I hope I can find them. Ya I was thinkin prob high 10"s to I was only prob gonna run about 7 or 8 psi of boost, I'm not sure on just how much I could push it before I messes something up.
