I replaced the leaf springs on my '89 suburban 2wd 1/2 ton. Does anybody that would pick them up in Houston want them for any reason??

Should I just throw them in the trash if not??

Any chance you could send me the center pins or bolts from the leafs?? Might be too much hassle though.

Why would you want to use old center pins? Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me, I always use new ones if I take the pack apart.

Why would you go out and get new ones? And how often do you take apart spring packs and why? Why is using the old ones a problem? I need to replace mine because the previous owner of my truck took out a leaf and then cut the center pin. I want to replace the leaf but the pin is too short!

they're cheap, and stronger than used ones that have been subjected to god knows what.

Lets just say when the pack explodes because you used an 20 year old pin that were not responsible... hehe.

PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THE HELL THE SPRING PACK IS GOING TO "EXPLODE" WHILE ITS BOLTED TO THE AXLE!! (this should be good).

You could take the nut off the center pin and it still wouldn't "explode" while its bolted to the axle.
