cross member question

would it cause any damage if i was to cut holes for the exhaust into the rear crossmember. i saw this one on the ECE site but they don't make the one for the 2 piece driveshaft. Thanks

Stacey put holes in his crossmember on Project Copperhead. He cut the holes and then welded in a piece of pipe as a collar. I dont see what it would hurt.

Good enough for me. I'm gonna do it this weekend before i put my new exhaust on. Even if it does screw something up i have another crossmember to install. thanks

Ive done that in the past i put a 4" pipe in the cross member and ran a 2 1/2 inside it .

i figured the 4 inch would be the best since the pipes move some and maybe one day ill have 3" althou i think the 2 1/2's flow just find.

On the Copperhead recap, I swear he used the replacement piece from ECE.
