250 I6 / TH350 -- Will it work??
Will a TH350 mount up to a 250?

Yes...I have seen a few come from the factory that way, but not too many.

The late model sixes (194/230/250/292) use the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the V-8s, so yes, you can bolt up the TH350 to that 250.

a buddy of mine had a 70 with the same setup from the factory and it was a smooth riding smooth shifting truck.

MY 82 has a 250/T350 combo. It's not too bad, although it does lack the umph my 250/3speed has. Some of that is the gears I'm sure. The 82 only has a 3:42 rear, while the 70 has a 3:73. As Dubie said though, it is a very nice combo.
