Following up on my other tranny thread, who makes an adapter to convert modern trannys with electronic speedos to mechanical speedos?
My specific tranny is a 5 speed manual out of a mid 90's chevy full size truck. Again, thanks for your replies. ![]()

Cable X
I have recently used the Cable X box setup. Do a search on the site for info. I have installed it on my 67 but haven't road tested it yet. They are a little pricey. One of the board members answered that question for me about a month ago. The Cable X is sold out of a place in Arkansas. If I were near the paperwork I could give you more info. Unfortunately I am away on business today. You could try a search on the net also. The setup I have comes with a converter for electronic transmission. It has a servo in it that actually connects with a speedometer cable for connection to your mechanical speedometer. Kerry

I don't know if it is the same one that either of these two have mentioned...but I know I saw one in jegs....pricey though. I think it was a couple hundred. huck may remember...I pointed it out to him. He is in the same boat as you are.

Cable X makes the box a lot of LS1 hybrids are using (but works for many applications). Haven't heard anything negative about them in over 2 1/2 years that I've been into the LS1's.
