gear ?s
what is the highest gear ratio(numercially lowest) availible in a 12 bolt truck rearend? i would have posted this in eng and drivetrain but i thought it would get better exposure here.

Stock... 3.07 in a 1/2 ton only.
Standard with a small block and automatic. |

2.73's are out there.1981 trucks and blazers had them.had a set in a 79 or 80 blazer.yea they was 12 bolt

well, I guess he did ask for in a truck 12 bolt huh?
67 - 72, the highest you could get was a 3.07 in a 1/2 ton truck. Good catch tommy. |

My dad's '72 1/2 ton 2wd lwb 350/350 had 2.73's until he switched them. He's had the truck since the early 80's so I'm sure they were orig.

There were no 2.73 gears as a regular production option in 67 - 72. Either that was actually a 3.73...or that is a COPO truck...or, they were chainged out before he got it.
