Just got a set of wheels on a smokin deal, but obviously wont fit.

I need adapters for a 6 lug to 5x4.75 I know it's a long shot, but like I said I got a hell of deal on the wheels.

You can look here for the ones you want. They are not cheap, but they do have them. I will try to get you a better price in a few minutes....(I am a ChassisTech dealer).

Those $95-$100 each ones don't include shipping....so how about $80 each (plus shipping) That will save you $80 or so....

check out ebay. I've seen them on there several times for around $120 for a set of four... I would never spend $400 on a set of adapters....

Well, IF you could find a 1971-1973 Chevy G10 van you could use the spindles, calipers and rotors off of the front end, they are 5 x 4.75. The balljoints and tierod ends for the spindles are the same as a 71-72 C10 (and those can be used on your truck with a little work) I know a guy who did this on a 71-71 truck but it was easier because he already had the setup for disc brakes.

I can't remember what he did for the rear end. I think you would have buy some of the rear brackets they sell to adapt new rearends to the coil suspension trucks.

If I was looking at paying $400.00 for adapters, I think I would give it a look... It would also give you the disc brakes in the front.

Sell those wheels at a profit, roll that money over into a set that will fit your truck. Not sure what kind of wheels you're looking for, but there was a guy on here this weekend with a set of 6 lug TTII's 17" for like $425 or in this case, about the same cost of your adaptors........Jerry

Do you know if the rotors will fit onto a 71 GMC 1/2 ton that already has disc brakes?

71dragtruck, the rotors on the G10 are 1" thick with 11-1/64" diameter and the C10 is 1.25" thick with 11-55/64" diameter, so I feel you would need the spindles.

When I mentioned the setup for disc I meant the master cylinder and proportioning valve.

I tried to call the guy I know who did it to ask if there were any trouble spots to look out for, but his phone is out of service

Thanks, I want to put a set of Convo-Pro's on my truck, but you can't get them in 5x5 bolt pattern. Even my Auto-Drag's aren't available any more, was trying to get away from drilling another set of holes in a new set of rim's.
