I wouldn`t expect those to stay clear for long.IMO,I`d put money towards a bullet-proof one for protection and change-out fluid regularly as recommended.I run a hose up high off the vent,then turn down,to keep water out.If something`s gonna go,not much you can do(or see)until it`s too late.Then the cover comes off to inspect/fix anyway.It`s a bit gimmicky to me.That`s my $.02.

they did a test on one of those in a diff cover test in P4WOR a year or two back. they absolutely beat the sh*t out of the covers they tested doing things that were far beyond anything they would encounter on a 4x4. the clear gearz cover stood up as well as all but maye one. they even lifted the front of a tracked backhoe off the ground with only one bucket tooth on the covers and this one never punctured, just deformed. IMO they seem that they would take abuse pretty well, and look cool too
