My name is johnny and I'm working on a 1972 chevy. It was a long bed, I made it into a short bed, Put a 1990 short bed on it.(step-side) I'm tubbing it now, Shaved my door handles and installing electric windows. Plan on running 10's in the 1/4. But it will take some time. My best time is 13.00. Hope to chat with some of you. Love the site, alot of info and ideas here....

This is the place to get your questions answered.
I lived in Odessa back in the sixties and we used to go to the drag races at Penwell TX.
That was back when Jim Hall was running the Chaparral on a track called The Rattlesnake out in Midland.
My brother was friends with one of his mechanics son and we used to take our go-karts out there and ride.
I would sure like to get out there and see the exhibit they put up at The Petroleum Museum.
