Friends at work today told me it was going to be on. I don't have cable though. Should be a cool little piece of couch time.

I thought it was funny.John is clueless in the womans world.I know how he feels having 4 girls of my own at home. You yell at a boy he yells back, you yell at a girl she cries, and washes a red sweater with your unders...lol.

Pretty good show, nice contrast to OCC IMO.

I would have to disagree with this quote me and my friend were at an autograph signing of his and after waiting in line for almost 2 hours before they tried to shut down the autograph session he asked them to keep it open seeing as there was still like 50 people in line of course they did, he talked to us for about 5 minutes signed 2 autographs each and signed my 16X car and when we told him our boss ad been to hsi shop before but couldnt make it to the show we were at he signed another autograph for our boss, hes a pretty good guy in my opinion but about the show i dont know if i would act the way his daughters do or treat my dad that way either if i had the oppurtunity to be handed a multimillion dollar company, maybe they dont realise the other drivers withthe force team

Re: anyone watching "driving force"

Saw him carrying a silver bullet a lot, but they didn't show him drinking that much. It was hilarious when he spilled it and dried himself. Thought the girls were gonna die.

I didn't think that much of the show. And I assume a bunch of it was bs for the producer. I won't go out of my way to watch it again.

Re: anyone watching "driving force"

I liked the show but it was weird to hear that he lives in one house at the lake and his wife and two youngest girls live in the "big house". Weird relationship there.

BTW: I would be drinking like him to destress as well with the Miller Lite he had in his hand most of the night cooking out. I can't grille without a beer in my hand either LOL!

Re: anyone watching "driving force"

He needs to have a contingency plan for his company. He doesn't, and that's why he's freaking out about his young daughters not giving a crap about it. They're kids, that's how kids act at that age. They have no idea what they want, and even lesser of a clue about what he's trying to give them. They'll figure it out though. Look at Vic Edelbrock's daughters now....

Re: anyone watching "driving force"

I did not see the show, but I can tell you John Force is an entertainer. Back in the days when I worked with TNN Motortsports you could not have asked for a more natural actor on camera. Off camera he was always pulling stunts to crack up the people he worked around.

Just remember, its called a "show" for a reason.....

Re: anyone watching "driving force"

I really enjoyed it. Here's a copy of a post from a drag racing board I frequent.
It's from Brent Travers one of the executive producers of the show. Kind of intersting about how he went to Frank Hawleys school.

"Thanks for the warm welcome David and everyone, it's good to be here..
To answer your question, let me first give you a little background on me and maybe a little bit of a story on how DRIVING FORCE came to be...i can always expand on it later if people are interested...
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley here in Southern California where my brother would tear up and rebuild any car he could get his hands on...I am 10 years younger then him but admired him and he would take me to all sorts of races, including the NHRA Winternationals when I was a young lad. The local high school which I later attended, Cleveland High School in Reseda California at the time held the nations only high school auto show and none other than John Force made an appearance along with his Funny Car sponsored by Jolly Rancher...so I never knew that my fate would collide (head on at times) with none other than the man who has come to define the sport, John Force and his amazing family. In truth, it wasn't until October of 2004 when we undertook working together to see if we could make a show that I had been back to an NHRA event, this time in Las Vegas...John, his family and crew were welcoming and put me right in the pit and I stood next to his funny car for the first warm-up...keep in mind, I had forgotten how powerful these things were and a lot had changed in almost 20 years...well, let's just say that having my eyes swollen shut and snot covering my shirt taught me a lesson and now I use the same situation to initiate newcomers on the crew and even did it to the top executive at A&E!! It could have gone horribly but the next day he ordered more episodes because he thought it was *****IN!....so there's a little bit of me before I became one of them "Hollywood" types....Brent
Oh and ONE last thing...John told me that if I was going to do a show about him and understand what this all meant and so I was sent to Frank Hawley's School and taught by none other than SuperComp Champ Fast Jack Beckman where I received my license! He's a great guy and his crew of Bobby and Tom are the coolest...
