Power Steering Nut!!!!!

I am having problems finding a 9/16 nut for my power steering pump. I know they look like half the height of a normal 9/16 nut. Been to the hardware store and looked on the web.

thanks

Grab your phone book and look up "Bolts & Nuts" in the yellow pages. They have all kinds of odd stuff.

Re: Power Steering Nut!!!!!

logical first place to go would be an autoparts store// if they have a help section go there near steering parts next place to go would be the counter and ask for a nut for a power steering pump// after that i'd go to an oldtime friendly junkyard same deal ask for a power steering pump nut

Re: Power Steering Nut!!!!!

That half thickness nut is called a "jam nut" Most likely need to find a "nuts and bolt" store like was suggested.

Re: Power Steering Nut!!!!!

Look for an Automotive fasteners store. We get our nuts and bolts for work from them because they carry all kinds but they specialize in auto stuff.
