turbo 350 tranny

im new to the board. i just bought a 72 long bed. the truck had no engine or tranny. i have a 350 in the shed, but my question is i also have a turbo 350 tranny but it is a short shaft. am i able to use the short shaft or will i have to get a long shaft? also one thing to keep in mind is that i will have to use a two piece driveshaft because i plan on putting air bags and body dropping it in the future. thanks in advance.

Re: turbo 350 tranny

welcome to the board brother

your talking about the short end shaft on the tranny right..

yes you can use a long or short tail shaft transmission

and adjust your drive shaft to fit..

these trucks came stock with short tail shaft transmissions
