Axle Q???'s
Ok, I'm converting my truck back to 6-lug
My question is, would it be easier to swap out just the axles or the whole rear end ![]() |

Re: Axle Q???'s
if you have access to a 70 with a wide rear, it's nothing to swap out the axle shafts.

Re: Axle Q???'s
Why a 70 & what makes them easier ???
My dad has a posi rear, but I don't want to use it right now cuz I'd have to rebuild it & press in new studs (I don't wanna wait) |

Re: Axle Q???'s
in early to mid 70, they went to a wider rear axle.
67 - early 70 axle shafts won't fit a mid 70 - 72 axle. The actual axle swap is dam simple. |
