Ring & Pinion Service in the Houston area?
I am looking for someone in the Houston area, preferably south of Houston that does quality rear end re-building and ring and pinion changes. (I live near Texas City and Clear Lake.) Please let me know if there is anyplace that has a good reputation or someone you guys may have used before.
Thanks |

Re: Ring & Pinion Service in the Houston area?
Houston Ring and Pinion on Sheppard is one. There's also one in Baytown. Don't recall their name but it's in the yellow pages. I used a guy in Beaumont because I don't like the guy who owns Houston Ring and Pinion and I thought the baytown guys were too much of a racket. Both do good work though. If you are interested in the guy in Beaumont, let me know and I'll get his name.

There's also a 4X4 shop on the south end of the loop.Since 4X4 guys do a lot of gear swaps they probably have experience.Seems like the shop is near a Ford dealership.(Been 8 years since I lived there and this is all IIRC).

The guy in Beaumont is Cliff Parson Parson's differential. I think it is on Langum Road. Nice guy and is a one man band. Him and his wife.
He worked with his buddy for years in Baytown area I think it is Pyle Brothers. I heard they are buzy and slow..... Hope this helps.

Great info guys. Just what I was looking for.
I was thinking a 4wd shop would be good, but no listings in our small phone books or on local.com Thanks again! |

Steve, you got it right. Cliff Parson is the guy. I'd use him 100 more times even with ithe inconvenience of traveling and waiting in Beaumont. The place on South 610 Loop is just east of Fannin. I think it's Four Wheel Parts. They are east of the Astrodome.
