well I start with the 68 the original owner was a little town fire dept here in ID. The truck still has the fire dept logo outline on the doors. I have the original invoice from the dealer as well as the warranty plate and book. I have a complete maintence record up until 1990. After that nothing. The guy I purchased from did not have it long. He did nothing with it. He advised had been sitting for along time. Judging from the cobwebs on quadrajet I believe him. There is no rust. The floor was patched on drivers side and done right. The body is pretty straight. The doors need work they have had at least 3 different sets of mirror holes drilled into them. one thing that intrigues me...on the bumper their is a valve stem that sez AIR RIDE does anyone know what that is? The tranny is a Powerglide. Engine 327 She doesnt like speeds over 45mph I think the coil and cap need replacing rusty as heck. I had to replace the gas cap it was not breathing.
The fire chief or city boys cut the console where the radio goes to put their 2way in. they also drilled a hole in the roof for the airial. This was patched with silicone. They also installed air horns the one like the big fire trucks have. I loved hitting that on the drive home lol. I was thinking about restoring with a fire dept theme. What do yall think?

Re: My New Family

I actually think that would be the way to go. Restore back to original fire truck theme. What's the story on the 3/4? What options does that one have? thanks for your time, and i'm glad you enjoy them

More than likely it has or had air shocks on it...
