cab repairs?

I looked at a couple rust free cabs for sale locally and my cab is in better shape compare to the ones I saw. How much time do I have before it will rust through? I think I will need both rockers panels and driver's floor board. What do you think? Should I keep on looking for a cab or repair this one?

Re: cab repairs?

That is just surface rust sand it down and put POR 15 on it. Do not get a new cab yours is better than 98% of the cabs we restore on a daily basis. Now this is rust!!! Actually more bondo than metal.

What rust? You won't need much at all. Just some small patches. Here in the Mid-west snow salt areas we call that pristine slightly used cab. Most here are rusted thru the floor where your seat belt falls thru the floor & no rockers or inner rockers left nor evidence of any were installed.

Rockers?? What are rockers?? Fade to black has no rockers!! Or a place to put your heal for the gas pedal...or lower front fenders...or the whole bottom of the radiator support....and is my tail gate supposed to have vent holes above the Chevrolet letters??

Seriously...you have a decent cab. fix the little rust you have.
