A block that goes in between the trailing arm & the rear end. essentially raises the rear end into the truck body...lowering the vehicle...

This isn't the coil spring set up but maybe you'll get the idea. This are on my S10. 3" lowering blocks.

They come in a kit with new U bolts. They go between the arms & axle. I put 2" on my 70 stepside & didn't like them. They caused vibrations & it didn't drive as good. I took them off.

I supposed that it is theoretically possible to change the pinion angle enough to cause a vibration.........but I don't see how it could change how it drives? |

Re: Lowering blocks on 67-72 trucks (coil spring truck)
Speaking on blocks and pinion angles and vibrations, if the pinion angle is, say, 1 degree off, will this cause these dreaded vibrations? In lowering my truck, I'll be changing the angle at the tailshaft, so want to change it at the rearend accordingly...

Re: Lowering blocks on 67-72 trucks (coil spring truck)
I've done several swb coil suspension trucks w/lowering blocks & experienced no vibrations afterward. I have not done a lwb truck so I'm no help there.
