Re: probs with 97 jimmy

What type of fuel issue prompted you to change the spider injection assembly? Also, did you change the whole unit, injectors, etc?

Re: probs with 97 jimmy

the whole unit was changed, i didnt have time to do it so i droped it off at the shop. the reason was it wasnt getting any fuel to the injectors they were fried, the car wasnt getting any fuel at all she was stuck on the side of the road, i checked the fuel pump it was good, filter was good, fuel was going all the way up but just not running. had it towed. now its a prob with the lag, i changed out the spark plugs and wires shop told her that was most likelly the prob but no change. iu havent talked to the shop yet, but i was thinking timing, distributor, or ignition mod

Re: probs with 97 jimmy

Unless the chain broke, I don't think it should be that, but did the shop put the distributor back in the correct position??? It has to come out to do the intake, so maybe it isn't set correctly. It needs to be stabbed dead on and there is a specific way other wise the comp can't or won't reccognise it and it will not run or run badly. Good Luck!?

The distributor is a good thing to check, like 70rs/ss mentioned. I would also check for vacuum leaks since the intake was taken off.
