doors
I have 2 sets of rust free doors. The darker blue are off a 1970, with no speaker cut outs, the lighter blue does have speaker cut outs. 175.00 for the dark blue, 150.00 for the lighter. No shipping on these. Complete with glass and door handles

Re: doors
I just weighed a 71 fully trimmed door including glass & mirror. It weighed 80lbs!!!!
I originally planned to buy both sets of these doors from Ernesto---I paid him for them a few months back and was all set to drive out to Colorado Springs this week but ran into one family problem after another and wound up having to cancel the trip. Ernesto was gracious and understanding ---returned my money which was a fabulous thing to do. How many guys would do that? He is one hell of a great board member! Now for the doors, anyone who has tried to fit the Goodmark or Trimark doors will tell you how poorly they fit. The leading edge does NOT line up with the fender/cowl/windshield frame. The last 2 sets of Goodmark doors I bought both had stamping press issues right in the center of outer skin. One set had the hinge mounting plates so out of wack, I couldn't line them up enough to bolt on the hinges which were already on the A pillar. No excuse for that kind of poor quality construction---just another example of crap from China with a US manufacturers name on it!! So here are two pair of rust free, complete, original doors, that if in the northeast, could bring $300-500. a pair. Fixing a rusted door, inner - outer skin, hinge plate---is major body work requiring skill, special tools, and a lot of effort to realign. You can simply buy these, refresh with stripper, new glass fuzzies, repaint to your color and you are good to go. By the way, if you are visiting Virginia, be sure to keep your dog on a 6 foot or shorter leash if he likes to chase and kill cats---ask me how I know? HUCK |

Re: doors
Hmmm...maybe I screwed up my numbers. I do know the stripped door and crate weighed 128lbs and the complete door and crate weighed 160lbs and I don't think my crate was 80lbs. Oh well.... I think it would be difficult to box them up and stay under 100lbs to ship via Greyhound, unless you used cardboard and then you're just asking for damage.
These are some GREAT looking doors and a great deal! Hope someone snatches them up soon! |

Re: doors
Thanks for the kind words, Huck! I would hope 90% of our members would have done the same thing. Anyhow, I know shipping these doors will be high dollar, and a hassle to crate, that is why I will not do it, I am confident someone near here will need these if not they will go into storage until someone does need them, (they dont eat anything)

Re: doors
I'm very interested in the dark blue doors for my '69 restoration project. Would you consider Greyhound at this point? I also could look into hiring someone to pick them up.

Re: doors
I also noticed you had a 68 GMC tailgate posted. Is that still for sale and do you think the dent could be removed? Thanks

Re: doors
I really prefer not to ship, if you could get someone to pick them up would be great, The gmc tailgate might be sold already as a complete truck, I will know soon.
