A family friend of mine is racing NASCAR for the first time at martinsville today.Scott Speed......Ive been friends with his father and mother since he was a little kid in San Jose,Ca.It seems strange that years ago his dad(mike) and me were driving scotts 125cc Kart through the back streets of Manteca,Ca irritating the neighbors. Now he made it into NASCAR.

... in the #84 Red Bull Toyota. That's gotta be cool to have known someone before they hit the big time! He sure got his foot in the Sprint Cup door rather quickly, it'll be interesting to see how he does. Martinsville is a tough place to get started, not that any other track would be easy.
