08 chevy batt light stays on
I was out at they lake and ran my battery down so i jumped it off now my battery light stays on. how do u reset it?

Try disconnecting the battery for about 20 seconds and then reconnecting it. It should do the trick!

while you have it disconnected clean the terminals and put a coat of dielectric grease on them too

what sucks is it only has 6000 miles on it i just left the lights on lol i will try disconnecting the battery see what that does

According to the service manual if it sets a voltage DTC in the BCM it will turn on the light. I would disconnect the battery overnight then hook it back up and see what happens. Worst case is a trip to the dealer to get the light cleared under warranty.
