A little side project
im thinking of bagging a bicycle for my brother..i was wondering if anyone can tell me the smallest size airbag (and cheapest ) they have seen, and whats the smallest compressor that would work in this situation. i was thinkin a one or three gallon tank with 4 valves, 2 bags with 1/4" line.
also, if anyone has any used left over stuff they dont need, let meknow ![]() Posted via Mobile Device

Re: A little side project
Ha! Cool sounding project, make sure you put up some pics when you start on it. I have two scenarios in my head about an air-bagged bike - one is bunny hopping a fence effortlessly; the other is a horrible flying W endo from the rear bag launching you over the bars...
![]() Useless Idea: What about using part of the frame as an air tank? Might cut down on weight and bulky clutter. Just a thought... ![]()

Re: A little side project
I had a customer who builds air bagged bikes, he was using some type of air cylinder and was using a small tank that he would use shop air to fill and with 1/4 line and the paddle valves he bought from me, he said it would raise and lower several times on the small reservoir. How is this for a small bag?

Re: A little side project
u know, i was kinda doodling around last night and i think a regular size bag would work. maybe an re6 size or 2500 series. i think i will check to see if anyone has an old one they dont need or use and try that out.

Re: A little side project
ordered a 5" stroke air cylinder instead of a bag, only 17 bucks! i already cut the frame...welded some square tubing to connect the rear "forks" that i cut off...
just gonna wait on the air cylinder so so i can know where i can extend the frame some. soo, next week should have some pics ![]()

Re: A little side project
I bought some of these when I was going to bag my sons power wheel. Its off of a conveyor belt used in factories. Its next to a 2600 bag to give you an example
