That timing cover will probably not stay. After I get the serpentine system on you probably won't see the timing cover anymore. I like the Black Crinkle look though. I was going to put an aluminum cover on but I like the black idea better. Maybe I can just spray paint it. hehehe.
Thanks

Re: How dose this look

I think if you are using a retro air cleaner, you need retro valve covers. Timing chain cover doesn't matter much as it is usally covered...but definately match the air cleaner and valve covers.

I agree that you dont exactly see it at first glance... I put an aluminum one in mine anyways..Painting it black with the crinkle paint might work also..

Re: How does this look

I would paint the intake while it is off. The cast bare aluminum will catch all kinds of grime and will not clean off easily. I painted mine Chevy Orange. Now I can just wipe it down and it is looks good. An aluminum color paint will keep the look and make the intake easy to clean. Black krinkle paint would look cool too, but hard to clean.

Re: How does this look

I had a change of mind. I didn't want to repaint my truck seeing the paint on there is really good and it would just cost too much money not to mention hours and hours of sanding and such. I decieded just to go with my current color. I don't know why I tried to do another color. I think it was because people were suggesting it. I repainted the engine and inner fenders and this is what they look like now.. And a picture of the truck but the stepside bed is gone and I have a short fleet for it as it was when built here in Fremont.
