Re: i got no spark..
Hey Tim you need to use a different spot on your fuse block for the power wire. The old coil wire does not have enough voltage running through it. Need to find a 12 volt spot on your fuse block for the power wire. You should be able to pry your connectors open so they can fit on your plugs. If you need help me and Ken can come over tomorrow and help.

Re: i got no spark..
No, you need to find one on the fuse block. The battery would be a constant voltage. Ya need one that turns off with the key. Were your other wires new or from something else? If your going to go buy new ones, get a set of msd wires. That is what i use and they work good. He definitely gives everything a good effort. Give me hollar after work, get off at 5:00 right? Did your headers come in?

Re: i got no spark..
Just take a look at your fuse box get a multimeter and turn the key to on find a source that gets 12v splice the wire run it to the side that says BATT on the HEI distributor (that is if its a GM one) or the positive side connect it, check again that its getting 12v, crank it up get ur timing set and yah should be rollin'

Re: i got no spark..
Tim,
I helped a guy setup his HEI.....I read a FAQ thread and used this unfused source....try that.....We added a single plug connector on both ends...connecting one here and the other on the 'BAT' side of the dizzy....hope this helps!

Re: i got no spark..
if you run it from an unfused circuit, should you run an inline fuse?
