Lightbulb sub / not to sub option near the quick reply button

Some posts I want to make a quick reply / offer assistance but dont want to subscribe to them. The only way to not get the sub is to go to advanced and change the setting for that thread. And then I have to hit the back button 2x to get back to the thread list. Other times the default setting to sub is fine. Am I being picky or whaa?

You can go to your UserCP then under Settings & Options go to Edit options, the fourth choice is "Default thread subscription mode" which you can set to "Do not subscribe" that way you will automatically not subscribe to every thread, and choose which to subscribe to.

or you can leave it as subscribe for the default... then after you make a comment go to your UserCP and click "unsubscribe" on the thread since it will be at the top of your subscription list.
