Why not buy new?

I see people buying & selling so many parts & many of them are just barely under the price they can be bought for new in the catalogs. I know most of the stuff from LMC is complete junk, but how about some of the others?

Mothertruckers comes to mind since I know he is on here so much. His patch panels & sheetmetal prices seem fair so how's the quality?

I know there are great deals when buying used, but it seems lately I'm seeing people selling used for $90 when you can get new for $100 & you don't have to worry about not getting the part.

Also, I need floor panels for a 70 K5. Are they the same as the truck floor panels?
