tranny swap

finally gonna swap the 350 for a 700r4.the three speed with 4:10 rear really screams down the road. my shifter came yesterday. just a basic b&m and i got the tranny. is there a good website or thread telling about the details of this swap? i hear the tv cable can be a pain to adjust. anyway just rounding everything up so i do this shortly.

boy what will i do with an extra 350 turbo laying around

maybe another project?

I used this site as well. I just finished this swap last week. Easier to do then what I read about. I had to take it into tranny shop because it wouldn't shift out of first. Tip make sure you get your cooler lines, and cooler clean. Not sure how but I got something in the valve body causing it to not shift. As far as adjusting the TV cable, the shop that rebuilt my 700r4 showed me how then checked it when it wouldn't shift. This site should answer your questions. I also had to change my shift linkage. Mine was sloppy and would pop off the trans. Got a Lokar universal shift linkage. Works great now.
