bench seat tracks
Does anybody have ideas of how to fix loose seat tracks? the seat doesn't lock completely and drives me nuts clicking back and forth. Moves about 1/4 to 1/2" back and forth. I have not looked but im guessing their wore out. I want to keep my stock seating configuration for cosmetic reasons. Although im not opposed to using later model seat tracks if anybody can confirm fitment.

Re: bench seat tracks
Mike, look under there and see if both sides are locking. The cable that runs from one track to the pass side may not be fully releasing and returning the "park pawl" [for lack of better words] into the slots or grooves that hold everything still. That is what it probably is keeping the rocking action in the seat. It is only fun for about 10 to 20 feet I know

I don't know what year your truck is but here is a thread that I posted pictures in. You can see if anything is missing on yours. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=418802 LockDoc

Re: bench seat tracks
Reminds me of my 92 caprice bench seat that slides back and forth all the time for about 2 months now.. :P Lots of fun for quick starts and stops.
