Heading out to my uncle's farm in a few days. My grandpa has 3 c10's there and said I could mess with one if I wanted. Looking to do a swb with about a 4/6 drop with springs and spindles. 1 for sure is a swb(6ft bed) but I think the others were lwb(8ft bed). I'm not sure if it's a trailing arm or leaf set up. So my question is.
If it turns out to be leaf, can it be changed to trailing arms and if so how easilly? I will strip it down to be repainted so I'm looking to get the frame chosen before I tow it home. I can swap body panels, cab and engine later. I'll be starting with a stock L6 or 350 depending on the state they are in. Plan to do a lt1 or ls series later. Thanks, Kenneth. Re: Picking a frame?
you can keep the leafs and do an axle flip and new springs to bring it down pretty well.
