Help
Well, this is my first post and my first restoration project. I am a rookie but I love my 72 Suburban dreams so I'm going for it. I will likely ask for a lot of help along the way, seeing as I really know nothing about what I'm doing. So...first things first. Can anyone tell me about any manuals or books that will help me get started? I have a 72 body and frame, just picked up some axles and leaf springs and that is just about it...where do I start?

Re: Help
Welcome to the forum!
It sounds like you have a project suburban already? My advice to beginners in these trucks, is to learn how they were put together from the factory. That way you have books, internet, and people to draw information from. Once you start going in a custom direction, you are basically on your own and being that you are working on a suburban that is a daunting task with out any resources. This forum can help answer a lot, if not all of your questions with your burb. Make sure you browse the entire forum for what ever your question may be, as in engine and drive train, or electrical, or body and paint. Each of those have their own forum, and there a many people that specialize in specific things like those that hang out there. Pictures, we love pictures here! They will help you get a quicker answer to what you are asking, and they just help us get to know what you are working on so when you ask a question later some of us will have a better idea what you are working on. So, what are ya waitin' for? Post up a few of what you have now! ![]()
