I am in the Hospitol again!

Been in the hospitol since last wednesday with diverticulitus again. 2nd time this year. I may have a tube inserted into my abdomin tomorrow to drain the infection. It seems like all the antibiotics has caused me to develope a shell around the infection instad of absorbing it. Painfull thing to go through so I am not looking forward to it... Anyway if parts slow a little, just know I will be back to full swing by the end of the weak. That is unless they decide it to be in my best interest to remove part of my colin... WES

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

My next door neighbor just went thru this within the last week. They had to remove about 40% of his colon and he is only about 40.

Re: I am in the Hospitol again!

After another catscan we realy don't know much more that we knew befor. They are going to wait untill tomorrow and see if I am well enough to go home on oral antibiotics to try to heal up well enough to have a colanoscopy. Then figure out what to do from there. If not then surgical intervention will be in order..... Sucks big time..... WES

Re: I am in the Hospitol again!

I lost something today. I don't know what it is but it's gone. I don't know if it was the stress of the day 5, I-vs, the cat scan or what. My I-V isn't even working right. I am just ready to go home and let whatever wants to happen happen. I don't feel good! WES

Re: I am in the Hospitol again!

Woa!! Ignor that last post... I must have crashed big time off of the morhine they have been giving me. I accedently pulled the I-V out of my arm today so I was without it for a couple hours. Then once the I-V was restarted I had decided I wasn't going to use the morphine so a mini crash happened. (I think) Whatever it was it wasn't fun, but I am feeling somewhat better now. WES

Re: I am in the Hospitol again!

I had a few bouts with diverticulitis in the late 90’s. I finally had about 18” of my colon removed in 2001 and haven’t had any problems since then. I feel for you.

When you go in for your colonoscopy make sure they give you Versed (pronounced ver-sed). You have to be awake during the procedure but the Versed gives you complete amnesia so you don’t remember a thing.

Good luck and take care.

Re: I am in the Hospitol again!

My Dad has this condition. Started when he was 36 and he is now 71. Through the years he has lost most of his large and small due to his condition and causes.

I will keep you in my prayers as this is not a fun thing to go thru.

Take care.

Re: I am in the Hospitol again!

i hope you're on the mend soon Wes. My mom struggled with the same disease a few years back and it's tough to see some one go through that. She ended up curing it by turning vegetarian and seeking out a Bowen Therapist. 3 years later, she is symptom free living a healthy life and took her credentials to be a Bowen Therapist. I encourage you to check it out man.

Re: I am in the Hospitol again!

I feel ya, man. I suffered for over 15 years with the condition, and unless you've had it, you just can't imagine. I was hospitalized 3 times for it, fighting the infections. After seeing a close friend nearly die from it, I finally had 10" of my colon removed in 2004. It wasn't fun, but it COMPLETELY solved the problem. Now I eat anything and everything, and NEVER have any issues. Given the chance to do it over again, I wouldn't have waited so long. I had a GREAT surgeon. Best of luck to you, hope you can overcome it once and for all.
