replacment lmc speaker

ok so I bought one of the dual cone, in dash, LMC replacement speakers. I plan on hooking it up to the original am radio. My question is how do you hook up a dual cone that has a red wire and black wire from each cone to the original radio plug? The original radio plug has a power wire, ground wire, and 1 speaker wire.

Should I hook the two ground wires to the one ground wire on the plug and the two red wires to the one speaker wire on the plug?

Thanks guys

Re: replacment lmc speaker

i was doing a search on dash speakers and came across this post. The new speaker is set up to play in stereo, the old radio plays in mono. But i would have hooked it up the way u said. How did it turn out?
