Which hubs do I go back with
I'm trying to get started on my first restore, 87 4x4. I'm starting with the breaks and wanted to replace the hubs while I had them out. Do I replace them with Warn locking hubs or go back with new factory auto locking hubs? I won't be doing any off roading with this truck just when it snows every other year or so, I'm in NC. I'm new to the site and thought it would be a good place for some expert advice.

Re: Which hubs do I go back with
If you go with "New" auto hubs, they are going to be unbelievably expensive. Like $500. But if you don't mind getting out of the truck, the Warn Hubs are going to be better for you. If you want the Pretty ones, get the gold premiums.....but the standard ones are just fine. My truck has the standard ones and the work just as they should.
For example, right now some guy has one new auto hub for $200. So it would be $400 total. With auto locking hubs, they tend to lock and unlock when you back up and also aren't too strong. That's what "off roaders" say.....but honestly, I've never had an auto locking hub go out on me so who knows.
