2000 silverado-no heat
4.3 v6, what to look for?
The mechanism that makes the door close off routing air thru the heater core is not operating apparantly, how Do i get it happinin? Thanks |

Had a 93 Chevy 4.3 that would not heat. The heater core was stopped up and water was not passing through it. Backflushed the heater core and heat worked great

Check that both heater hoses are HOT.
Check for movement of the the Blend door actuator. |

I had the same issue with my 2000 5.3L last year. I had no heat at all. I backflushed a turd of crap out of it.
