cherry picker lifting a bed

I need to remove the longbed box off of my truck and I have a cherry picker that can lift up to 1.5 to 2 tons. The Hydrolic cylendar can lift 8 ton. If I used tow straps to tie up my bed to you think that I could lift it off like this? If it couldn't lift up the whole thing at once, do you think it could lift at least one end of it while a few people lifted the other end of it?
thanks for the help
