Question Spark plugs

I have a '69 K20 with the original 350 engine. I understood that the only spark plugs I could get for it were R43 or R45 AC Delco. I emailed AC Delco about it, and they told me I could run a Rapidfire #7, a R43S, and a 41-833 Platinum. I know the plugs I have been getting have short threads on them so they don't stick into the head very far, and they have a compression washer on them for sealing. Does anyone on here have an original engine, and what do you run for plugs? I don't want to stick anything in there that might not work right.
