New fuel line a good idea?
I am ready to use a compressor and blow out my old fuel and charcoal canister lines with air to clean them. But since I have it all undone should I just replace it all with new stainless fuel line?

Are your lines kinked or rusted? If not I'd reuse them and replace all the rubber parts. If you have extra disposable income burning a hole in your pocket, and all the safety stuff (brakes, steering, suspension) is taken care of then go for it. There's plenty of time for shiny new parts after all the safety stuff is taken care of.

Ss lines are hard to bend So I'd buy premade kits but if old lines are good I would nt worry about them.

old lines are hard to tell the status// many times they rust and deteriorate from the inside out// they look brand new on the outside but cruded up and seconds away from failure on the inside

That is what I am afraid of....but anyway....mine are pretty rusted on the outside but it seems only surface rusting...I'll skimp on those for now but if I have any problems I'll replace them......bigger fish to fry on this job! |
