bagged and z'ed steering shaft
I'm looking to find the safest and best way to step my steering shaft. The front is z'ed 3 inches and I'm goin to bag it. Anybody have an good examples of what u joints to use and if you are removing the rag joint.

I'll take a pic of mine and post it but I modified a stock astro van shaft to my 1 ton in my signature. Bare with me til tomorrow and ill post it up.

Do you really need to? On my 68 i just notched the arm to clear the shaft

Best I got only reason the old rag joint is there is because the splines are different on the astro. Keep in mind this is a rat rod so in wasn't shooting for appearance but if u want it nice get some u joints from a race shop and some DD rod and build one

Also it's bagged, z'd 4", and body dropped 4" so I had to notch as well

Because it has an adjustable slide built in that allows you to modify the length when fitting
