Picked up a new take of GMC tailgate with narrow band - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I was lucky enough to have a good friend call me a couple weeks ago and ask if I wanted him to pick this up for me. It actually took two friends to get it in my possession. The first friend found it and purchased it for me and the other friend delivered it. They were both out at the swap meet. This is just so pretty I want to use it as a wall hanging! The band is clean enough that it could pass for NOS.

My though for wall hanging would be to find a way to use the trunions for the major support and maybe mount a piece of flat stock along the top edge but hidden. Behind the tailgate then put a few strong double sided magnets to hold it up

I'm interested! Do you mind posting up some pics? I will say...the '73 and newer are a little more awkward in my opinion.

Here are a few pics, I just used simple small "L" brackets and cut some chain so I could tilt them down just a bit, it makes them easier to look at.
