Hi all, I bought a 72 C10 three weeks ago and recently found this cool site. As you can see below it's not exactly a cherry truck, actually a bit of a dung'r, but I plan on fixing it up for around the farm and as the occasional fun driver.
My question is, apart from buying one of the many rear disc brake kits out there, has anyone found a junkyard bolt-in that works without too much modification. Such as not requiring a lathe to open up center holes in discs, etc... I was digging around and found this site for modifying a 12 bolt Camaro rear axle to use calipers and brackets from a 77-79 Deville and rotors from a 79 -81 Trans-Am. http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/6765/page11.html Is there any reason why this wouldn't work for the 12 bolt in my C10? Thanks, Ron ![]() |
