Re: WTB OEM housing for lighted cigarette lighter

Let me look in the part stash, have a few loose lighter parts. Not sure I have the lighted one or not tho. Will get back to you later this afternoon.

Re: WTB OEM housing for lighted cigarette lighter

Finally found the lighted cigarette lighter I mentioned. Not sure by the title if you want the compete set-up or just the threaded barrell portion. Don't want to sell the barrell seperate but if interested in the complete lighter will do $20 shipped on it along with the other parts in the pic. The black surround on the push in lighter portion has a few marks on the edge, didn't show up well in the pic. The round front housing with the lighter is really nice, one loose front is really nice and the other is useable but has some issues. The other pieces are some loose assembly parts. Let me know, money order or $$ as do not have Paypal.

Re: WTB OEM housing for lighted cigarette lighter

Thanks for digging these out! Just to clarify, I'm looking for OEM and the light housing shown looks a little different than my pic above (already have a repro example here). If you can confirm OEM (close up pics?) I'll take the lot for $20 shipped.

Re: WTB OEM housing for lighted cigarette lighter

After looking closer at the first pic I do see the differance between the two light housings. The first one is rounded at the front and the one I have is flat at the front. I pulled this from a '71 Chevy non-running parts truck so can't say if it is truly OEM original or not. Maybe differant parts suppliers at differant assembly plants, not sure on that. The lighter itself is marked " 63 Casco 12 V "

Re: WTB OEM housing for lighted cigarette lighter

Couple pics of what the lighter looks like. As I mentioned, pulled from a non-running truck. My lighter does not work in my truck, not hooked up as I don't smoke so just for show, LOL.

Here's the known repro I have, lacks patina so to speak - looks similar so I'll pass and keep looking. Thanks again though I appreciate it. Pete

Re: WTB OEM housing for lighted cigarette lighter

Sorry I couldn't help Pete. I had thought this lighter assembly might have been an original since the truck I pulled it from seemed to be a somewhat "survivor" example. Always learning from this board and it's members. Good luck in your search.

Thanks again! Here's another pic I scrounged of an OEM example - has the curved light housing.

Re: WTB OEM housing for lighted cigarette lighter

not real sure if they are the same but i pulled this one from a 80's caprice.
it looks similar.
I like the lighted lense/ring it'll make a cool touch in the truck.
i have a huge bag of lighter parts and hopeing too throw pieces together and make this one work.

Re: WTB OEM housing for lighted cigarette lighter

That is a cool setup and looks very similar with the exception of the lighted ring. Those I've seen pulled from pickups (and that in my K20) lack this ring and you see the light when the lighter is removed.

I was feeling bad you hadn't found the one you needed so I pulled out the ones I had and ta-da! Wasn't sure it was exactly what you needed though. Sending you a pm with my paypal. Whatever you think is fair is fine with me cause I know you needed it. I'll send it packaged well.
