Thinking about painting my truck gray
I'm thinking about painting my truck gray with a white top, or two tone gray and white with the top white and white in between the upper and lower mouldings if I get them. the last color combo of white and gray I was thinking was what I see more on 67 or 68's where the top is white and the boddy is gray down to the lower moulding and it's white below the lower moulding.
any chance someone can photoshop my truck to see what it might look like? I like the white and gray Kindig-it used on his 55 chevy restoration. ![]() Last edited by zamboni2354; 01-08-2015 at 02:38 PM. |

Re: Thinking about painting my truck gray
thanks for the reply Scorp.
the only other pic I have of the truck is from the rear. I tore the truck apart without taking more pic's....so dumb. I texted the guy I bought it from and he's going to see if he still has pic's of it on his home computer. if he does I'll post it. jeff |

Re: Thinking about painting my truck gray
Heh, I've painted 2 Harley's and had 2 trucks painted the same medium grey metallic. About the same as the square above. It looks ok and the same clean or dirty.
At the same time, I think the muted colors we see (and choose) these days are the result of carmakers market research seeking the least common denominator (or least offensive color) and lowering costs. Thus we have no butternut yellow or passion purple cars. I won't start on the 50's colors. |
