Pointing at 1 TDC?
Manifold is back on but distributor points at 5 or just past 1 towards the temp sender...am I missing a spot inmbetween.? 63 283 Thx!

You need to pull the distributer out and re stab it so it aligns with the number 1 plug wire on the cap. Looks like you are a tooth off. Once you pull it out turn it back a bit and re stab. Hard to tell from the pic. I hope this helps.

You might have to turn the oil pump gear with a long screwdriver to get the proper alignment. It seems like you are in between two cylinders.

Another thing you can do is make that point your number 1 plug and set your firing order from that. Worst case you have to re set TDC and start over. I had this happened before with a different distributer.
