Throttle sticking
The throttle is sticking on my 69 with a 400 small block. I recently changed to a new Holley and it is still sticking (not the reason for the new carb). Being a 69, my gas peddle is fastened to the floor and a metal rod goes through the firewall. I've custom made a rod with hiem joints (pictured).
Some people have told me the hie ms are locking up and causing it to stick. But I've noticed when it sticks, I can pull up the rubber peddle and the idle falls right back. Has anyone had the problem of a stiff rubber peddle causing the throttle to hang? If so, how do you wear it in?
