Converting rear to disc brakes, need help on fittings at the stock prop valve
So i am converting over to rear disc brakes and i have purchased a new Wilwood master cylinder and the wilwood prop valve that mounts alongside it. I know i need to ditch the old stock prop valve that is mounted along the front cross frame but i am looking for help on the type of fittings i will need to couple all of the lines together. Since i am ditching that stock prop valve i need to connect all of the hard lines together respective to the incoming line. Anybody know of some union couplers that would work? I am guessing the incoming fitting is different from the outgoing. I suck at explaining things but hopefully some of that makes sense. LOL

Actually, nevermind. I am guessing i actually have to run new brake lines all together from the wilwood valve and connect them to the hardlines on the out side of the stock prop valve. fun.

Are you saying you are going to run the Wilwood prop valve and the stock prop valve?
You only need one. Your steel line fittings will be inverted flare fittings. You will need a double flaring tool to create this flare at the end of the steel line.

No, just using one valve but the wilwood valve mounts up next to the wilwood mc not down where the stock prop valve is. So I will need new lines from the wilwood valve down to tie in to the stock lines once I remove the old stock valve.

I think i will just convert everything over to AN and run braided brake hose down to the factory hard line connections at the factory prop valve. Seems like an easy clean way to do it.

48 inch braided hoses long enough to reach from the master cylinder down to the stock prop valve location?

Why not bolt the new combination valve in place of the old one and call it a day?

Wouldn't be that easy. First, the stock location is stupid and the new prop valve would get nasty and all rusted up like the stock. The wilwood has a big adjustable knob on it that probably would have clearance problems and it actually comes with a bracket to mount it adjacent to the master. Makes adjustments really easy. Plus the old factory connections would still need some adapters to get all of the lines to work. I have all of the parts on order to run braided lines down to the factory valve and adapt all of the connections together. Should install pretty nicely.
