carb upgrade or rebuild
I have a 1966 1-ton with a V6 that has been sitting for a long time. It has a 2-bbl Stromberg on it that needs rebuilding. Should I rebuild it or upgrade to a newer 2-bbl Holley?

The 500 cfm holley 2 barrel is a common carb swap and offers much better performance of the stock 2 barrel. That and dual exhaust wakes these up nicely.

Is that a straight bolt on swap or do you need to change manifold? Also, what about an air cleaner?

Is the Holley a bolt on upgrade for a 305 E V6? What about an air cleaner, can I use the stock one off of the Stromberg??

You'll need this adapter:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mr-Gasket-19...NWuzKa&vxp=mtr The stock one will not work. Any 4 barrel aftermarket air cleaner will do nicely. You will also need to modify the throttle linkage and fuel supply.
