Budget intake and carb for BBC

May or may not have just created the need for me to buy a new intake and carb. I'll know tomorrow. Anyone have any recommendations for what to buy on a budget that is still performance oriented? It's going on a 454

I used performance products intake, it's a knock off of the Edelbrock performer. Used the 600 for a bit then went with 3310, motor ran great. Better if I knew how to tune.

An Edelbrock Performer and a Holley 670-750 cfm vacuum secondary carb. Both of those should be available in good used condition. What is wrong with what you currently have?

I have a spare Quick Fuel Tech 850. Only has about 1500 miles on it. They go for around $800. Don't want near that. PM me.
